Paid Search Marketing: Standing Out in the Crowd

So, you set up your businesses blog and website, have it optimized for search engines, and even created a great email marketing strategy. Now it only a matter of time before potential customers come pouring into your site, right? If you hit a plateau, a paid search marketing technique might be just the thing your site needs to receive the visits you are looking for.

You might think that this is only for the big businesses that have enough funds at their disposal to do so effectively, but think again. Here are 5 quick tips to make your paid search marketing strategy successful, right alongside the big dogs.

1. Write Better Ad Copy
Stand out among the competition by making a creative ad copy. Find out what catches your target audience's attention, it only takes a little research.

2. Smarter Keyword Research
Speaking of, the competition may have a grab on the most popular keywords, and the most common can be pretty pricey. Do some research into some lower cost keywords that have less competition. Using long tail keywords may also bring in the traffic you seek without breaking the bank.

3. AdWords Alternatives
Google AdWords is not the only option out there. There are Facebook, Yahoo!, and Bing, to name a few. Google AdWords will most likely bring in the most traffic, but it is also the most costly.

4. Use Ad Extensions
Take advantage of whatever ground you may have. A creative use of ad extensions places more information in front of the potential customer, leading to a higher likelihood that they visit your site.
5. Use Location Targeting & Ad Scheduling
If you only operate locally, only advertise locally. Also consider the times of day that your target audience will most likely be searching. There is no use wasting resources trying to capture audiences that are no use to you or not there.

Mobile Strike: Pervasive Paid Search Marketing
I am not much of a mobile gamer, and even if I was, Mobile Strike probably wouldn't be one of my first choices. Nonetheless, ads for this game appear everywhere for me. It has gone far beyond the point of annoyance. Nonetheless, I have to hand it to the marketers, as I don't think anyone with a smart device has not seen an ad for this game at least once.

    1. I have definitely seen countless ads for Mobile Strike. I agree that they are annoying, but effective since many people know the name probably just from the company's paid search marketing and familiarity can go a long way.
